Welcome to our Community Exchange where you can learn about our GIFT Program participants. The organizations we serve are working hard to help the Peninsula and here you can find their contact information and needs they may have. Some groups may even be able to loan out equipment or space to other groups! Get inspired and help out where you can with supplies or with your time by volunteering for a project. Check out the event section for upcoming activities in the community.

Youth Volunteer Corps of Hampton Roads

Founded in 2009, Youth Volunteer Corps of Hampton Roads has provided meaningful volunteer experiences to over 2,550 youth (ages 11-18) through more than 67,500 hours of service to the community in partnership with dozens of recipient agencies. Our programs are open to all youth--students in public, private or homeschool settings, representing diverse neighborhoods and backgrounds, and from different socioeconomic situations. Our service-learning framework develops youth as servant leaders.

Below are the items Youth Volunteer Corps of Hampton Roads needs or has available to give.

Organization Needs:

YVCHR's storage closet is in need of shelving so that we can properly organize our project supplies and materials. Our service projects--especially those that involve construction and crafts--require good organization so that our team can easily locate and inventory items that we use to run our program. Ideally, we would love to have 3 shelves for this space.
