In a world where sports are dominating our youth; Peninsula Sports Fundraising is a non-profit organization that strives to continue to provide opportunities for Peninsula youth to be able to participate in sports. Our mission, duty and goal is to minimize the burden of costs to families not able to keep up with fees, equipment and expenses associated with playing sports. This organization would directly benefit the citizens of the Virginia Peninsula by not only making playing a sport more affordable, but to also open up "windows of opportunities" for our youth to have the chance to be seen by coaches from Division I, II & III college and universities in hopes of receiving a scholarship to attend those colleges. Our young people can now receive their education at the expense of playing a sport that they love.

Peninsula SPorts Fundraising has collaborated with the Salvation Army Peninsula with several community service opportunites throughout the Winter season. Although we haven't been called upon again by the Salvation Army for more community service projects, we have been in contact with other non profit organizations (Boys & Girls Club, Riverside Health Systems) to inform them we would love to partake in future projects that shall come up.

This softball program contines to sustain or grow the community by allowing us to recruit other talented young ladies to the team and organization who have a passion for softball and who would love to play collegiate softball. With the help of Community Knights and the GIFT Program, we want to continue to get these young ladies in front of college recruiters at the numerous showcases throughout our spring/summer season.

This is all planned, organized and executed with the help of the dedicated coaches and the parents in our organization. We look out for one another and hold each and every child accountable for everything they do. We continue to look for community service opportunities for the girls to participate in so they can continue to know the feeling of "giving back", learning leadership skills, teamwork, building trusting relationships and simply understanding that lending a hand certainly goes a long way.

PSF has been honored to be a recipient of the GIFT Program and is eternally thankful to any monies awarded. These funds help to aid families in getting their girls closer to their dream of attending college AND playing softball.
