In a world where sports are dominating our youth; Peninsula Sports Fundraising is a non-profit organization that strives to continue to provide opportunities for Peninsula youth to be able to participate in sports. Our mission, duty and goal is to minimize the burden of costs to families not able to keep up with fees, equipment and expenses associated with playing sports. This organization would directly benefit the citizens of the Virginia Peninsula by not only making playing a sport more affordable, but to also open up "windows of opportunities" for our youth to have the chance to be seen by coaches from Division I, II & III college and universities in hopes of receiving a scholarship to attend those colleges. Our young people can now receive their education at the expense of playing a sport that they love.

Hotel exp, fields, showcases, uniforms, misc equip

PSF has reached out to several non profit organizations in the community (Boys & Girls Club Peninsula, Salvation Army, Peninsula Food Bank) looking for opportunities to collaborate with them by getting our girls community service hours. Waiting on response from the volunteer coordinators from each organization.

PSF will sustain and grow the community of the Peninsula by reinforcing that "it takes a village". We want to show others that there are still plenty of goodness in the world; a lot of good people with big hearts who are willing to help others. We will continue to encourage others to help us grow which in turn could change the way the Peninsula is viewed. PSF is trying to help lessen juvenile crime and enhance the possibility of a college education for those who didn't think college was an option. With the help of PSF, students will not only increase their chances of attending college, but also put themselves in a position to become a mentor to the up and coming youth and give back to the community in unimaginable ways. They can also thank Community Knights for the GIFT Program that even allows PSF to help in this magnitude.

This is all planned, organized and executed with the help of the dedicated parents in our organization. We look out for one another and hold each and every child accountable for everything they do. We continue to look for community service opportunities for the girls to participate in with them learning leadership skills, teamwork, building trusting relationships and simply understanding that lending a helping hand goes a long way.

PSF would like to thank those involved in the grant approval process for considering our grant. We could not put girls in front of college coaches without your help. We are truly grateful. PSF would also like to help Community Knights in their quest to continue to give money back to their community by serving on committees.
