Jasmine’s workplace exploration included experiencing art-focused summer camp sessions at CNU’s Torggler Fine Arts Center. She learned about having fun while being a role model for the elementary-aged students, adapting to different adult and children’s expectations, and what post-high school steps she will need to take to work in the art education field (like college!).

Jasmine’s mother declared, “Jasmine never imagined that she would work a job, but she did it well and picked up skills. Ability is there. Her
confidence grew. I feel like this all was birthed out of her experience with CK. She felt like it was the first time people respected her and heard her. She just fit with everyone. She found her place.”
