Q & A

What is your most endearing memory with CK so far?
One of my most endearing memories with CK was when a student I’d been working with was offered a summer job at his internship site. It was such a proud moment because it showed how capable and motivated our students can be when given the right support. It reflected not only his growth, but also the success of the READY program in helping students gain real-world opportunities.

What accomplishment are you most proud of?
I’m most proud of not only seeing my students grow, but also growing alongside them. Each experience challenges me to find new ways to support, encourage, and adapt. And that personal and professional growth is something I’m really proud of.

Why do you continue working for CK?
I continue working for CK because I see firsthand how empowering this program is for students. Watching them develop confidence, gain skills, and take pride in their work makes it easy to stay passionate about what I do.

What would you say to someone considering becoming a program facilitator with CK?
I would say that if you’re someone who loves helping others, seeing progress, and making a difference every day, this is the perfect role for you. It’s amazing how much you’ll grow right alongside your students.

What have you learned about people with disabilities through working with the READY Program?
I’ve learned that everyone has unique strengths, and it’s so important to focus on what people can do rather than what they can’t do. The READY program has shown me how empowering that perspective can be.
