On Saturday, October 20th, the Tuff Enuff Challenge was held for the third consecutive year at the Mariner’s Museum Park in Newport News, Virginia. But what is the Tuff Enuff Challenge? It is an encounter with challenging obstacles to test one’s physical abilities with the presence of spooky elements for a frightfully, family-friendly noble time.

Each participant wore a Halloween costume and received medals, being recognized their effort and support to the Youth Volunteer Corps of Hampton Roads. The participants covered a distance of 5 kilometers.

All proceeds benefitted the Youth Volunteer Corps of Hampton Roads. The YVCHR engages youth in meaningful volunteer opportunities that positively impact the lives of others. Founded in 2009, it is the first affiliate of the state of Virginia and is one of the 45 Youth Corporation affiliates worldwide.

People were separated into groups according to their age and registration order. The first group of participants started the challenge at 9:30 am and every 5 minutes a new group proceeded.

There was a total of seven groups that enjoyed this family event, where they had fun and got a bit dirty with the mud and obstacles of the challenge for a noble cause.

With the presence of different organizations supporting the event, especially Community Knights, the event was a total success. Community Knights, Inc. collaborated with the delivery of medals of this exciting event.
